1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CVEPing ("the Service"), operated by Lazariuc-Hadrava S. Adrian Persoana Fizica Autorizata ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CVEPing is a vulnerability intelligence platform that monitors public CVE databases (NVD, GitHub Advisory, OSV.dev) and alerts users about security vulnerabilities affecting their technology stack. The Service provides:

• Automated CVE monitoring and alerting
• EPSS exploit probability scoring
• SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) import
• Multi-channel notifications (Email, Slack, Discord, Webhooks)
• REST API access (on applicable plans)

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Each account is for a single user unless on a plan that explicitly supports team members.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

CVEPing offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly as selected at checkout.

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax calculation, and tax remittance on our behalf. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

Prices are displayed in EUR and may be subject to applicable taxes (VAT/GST) as determined by Paddle based on your location.

5. Free Plan

The free plan provides limited access to the Service at no cost. We reserve the right to modify free plan features and limits at any time. Free plan accounts that remain inactive for 12 months may be deleted.

6. Cancellation and Downgrades

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Upon cancellation:

• You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
• Your account is then downgraded to the Free plan
• Your data is preserved but features beyond free plan limits become read-only

Please see our Refund Policy for details. In summary, we offer full refunds within 14 days of purchase.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without permission
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data beyond the provided API
• Share account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the check/refresh system

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Data and Security

CVE data displayed in the Service is sourced from public vulnerability databases (NVD, GitHub Advisory, OSV.dev, FIRST.org EPSS). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.

Your account data (profile, technology selections, alert preferences) is stored securely on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• All vulnerabilities affecting your stack will be detected
• Alerts will be delivered immediately or without delay
• The CVE data is complete or fully accurate

CVEPing is an informational tool, not a substitute for professional security audits or penetration testing.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or security breaches, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Romania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
